Amniotic Membranes for Dry Eye & Corneal Healing

If you suffer from moderate to severe dry eye, persistent corneal irritation, or other corneal surface conditions, you may benefit from a leading-edge treatment called amniotic membrane therapy.

An amniotic membrane is a thin layer of tissue originally derived from the inner part of the placenta (donated and carefully screened for safety). It contains natural healing properties—such as growth factors and anti-inflammatory proteins—that promote tissue regeneration, reduce inflammation, and help the eye heal faster and more comfortably.

DRY EYE TREATMENT WINDSOR

How the Treatment Works:

A small membrane is gently placed on the surface of your eye, typically held in place with a soft contact lens. It remains there for several days as it delivers healing nutrients to the eye. Most patients report no to minimal discomfort and significant improvement in symptoms after treatment. This therapy is safe, non-invasive, and highly effective, especially for patients who have not responded well to artificial tears or other conventional treatments. If you’ve been struggling with persistent eye discomfort or corneal issues, ask us if amniotic membrane therapy is right for you.
